What is metamodernism in art?

Metamodernism in art subscribes to the idea of a ‘meta-narrative’ or 'story of a story' whilst using the tactics and tools of Postmodernism and new Technology. Metamodernist art aims to experiment and incite discussion about returning to a ‘meta-narrative’.

Description

This metamodernism shows a painting of a building, with a blue and white striped tie in the foreground, and an orange rectangular object with a black stripe in the background. The painting is bright and colorful, with a strong presence of blues, oranges, and whites. The painting is abstract in nature, with a variety of shapes and colors that come together to form a unique piece of art. The artist has used a combination of brushstrokes and other techniques to create this captivating painting. The blue and white stripes of the tie add a complementary element to the painting, while the orange rectangular object with the black stripe serves as an anchor for the painting. The painting is a representation of a building, although the details of the building are blurred and abstract. This painting is a child's art, and it is full of joy and creativity, as it can be seen in the combination of bright colors and shapes. The painting is also characterized by the presence of Majorelle blue, a distinctive shade of blue that adds a unique element to the composition.
