What is metamodernism in art?

Metamodernism in art subscribes to the idea of a ‘meta-narrative’ or 'story of a story' whilst using the tactics and tools of Postmodernism and new Technology. Metamodernist art aims to experiment and incite discussion about returning to a ‘meta-narrative’.

Description

A metemodernist painting of a landscape is depicted in this image. The painting is characterized by its vibrant colors and its abstract, blurred shapes. The painting is mainly composed of greens and browns, with accents of orange and blue. The main focal point of the painting appears to be a blurry image of a person's head situated on the left side of the canvas. On the right side of the canvas is a blurry colorful object, with a brown object on top of a blue surface located beneath it. There is also a close-up of a colorful object in the center of the painting, and a close up of a black and white object located in the bottom right corner. All of these elements combine to create a unique and beautiful abstract painting.
