What is metamodernism in art?

Metamodernism in art subscribes to the idea of a ‘meta-narrative’ or 'story of a story' whilst using the tactics and tools of Postmodernism and new Technology. Metamodernist art aims to experiment and incite discussion about returning to a ‘meta-narrative’.

Description

This metamodern art is a close-up of a harmonium, a type of musical instrument. It is a wooden instrument with several metal keys, pedals, and other components. The harmonium is brown and white in color, with a red and yellow object in the background. It is placed against a brown background, and is the main focus of the image. The close-up of the harmonium emphasizes its intricate details and design. The keys, pedals, and other components are all clearly visible, and the red and yellow object in the background adds contrast and visual interest. The harmonium is placed in a way that allows the viewer to appreciate its design. The image is a screenshot, and the colors are muted and slightly blurry. This artwork is perfect for a caption, as it gives the viewer an up close and personal look at a harmonium and its components.
